The PALADIN
Captain Joe Meadows is a Master Offshore Captain USCG
certified. He has over 30 years experience
boating, fishing, and diving along Florida's west
coast, from Port Richey to the Florida Keys, and includes several
trips to the Bahamas. Since retiring as a manager from IBM
Corporation in 1991, he has been a full time charter boat captain.
He completed a circuit from Fernandina
Beach to Port Richey, and is a very
well-known and highly respected charter boat captain in both
locations. Port Richey, Capt. Joe's home port, is conveniently
located close to the Tarpon
Springs Sponge Docks, popular with visitors from
around the world.

42' Jersey Sportfishing boat. Young anglers are welcome, so you can
make this a great family outing! Captain Joe is happy to catch and
release at the angler's request.
Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks
With the ambiance of a Greek fishing village, Tarpon
Springs, Florida is a location you'll want to visit again
and again. Sample some of the world's finest Greek food - from the
delightful Oopah (flaming cheese appetizer) to the rich pastries,
such as Baklava. You'll stroll the working Sponge
Docks and visit its quaint shops. You can learn of its
history steeped in Greek heritage. A perfect way to relax after a
great day on the water with Captain Joe. The sponge docks are 15 minutes south of the boat.
The Paladin is a 42'
Jersey Sportfishing boat with new smokeless twin diesel engines. It comes fully equipped, including
outriggers, downriggers, fish finder, chart plotter, GPS, LORAN, depth gauge, auto-pilot, and
ship-to-shore radio. It's wide 14.5' beam gives 6 anglers plenty of
fishing room. It has a fully equipped galley, including full-sized
refrigerator, both microwave and conventional oven, garbage
disposal, and dinette. Other amenities include air conditioners and heat
and full head with separate stand-up shower. It sleeps six
comfortably. A luxury boat that knows how to work the bluewater!
Captain Joe offers offshore charters for Grouper, Kingfish,
Amberjack, Shark, Snapper, Permit, Cobia, Tarpon, Tuna, Wahoo, and
Dolphin. He is experienced in many different angling methods,
including trolling, downriggers, and bottom fishing, and uses live
and natural bait, or artificials, as required. Young anglers are
welcome, so you can make this a great family outing! Captain Joe
uses the finest fishing equipment available, much of it custom made.
He carries everything from big game tackle (130 pound class) to
light spinning equipment (6 pound class)! If you have your own
equipment, Captain Joe welcomes you to bring it along. Standard

All standard fishing trips include fishing license, bait, tackle, ice,
custom rods/reels and instruction if necessary. We fillet the fish and bag it for you at the end of the trip. Captain Joe uses
rods custom built by the Reel Rod Company in Tampa, Florida. It is
customary to tip the mate 15 - 20% of the price of the charter.
